After earning a chemical engineering degree from the University of Maine he joined Procter & Gamble where he rose to the rank of Master Marketing Inventor - inventing and shipping a record 9 innovations in 12 months using a disciplined system for thinking smarter & more creatively about growth.

Doug's the founder and CEO of the Eureka! Ranch located in Cincinnati with offices in London, UK and Monterrey, Mexico. The Ranch is an “invention & research think tank” that specializes in helping corporate leaders and real world entrpeneuers develop Measurably Smarter choices for growth. Corporate clients such as American Express, Ford, Nike and Walt Disney. It’s this constant race against time that gives Joe Gibbs Racing a competitive edge on the track. Joe Gibbs Racing relies on its technology suppliers for superior accuracy and consistency. Since 2003, Joe Gibbs Racing has relied on the sophistication of Mitsubishi. Today, the manufacturing department houses Mitsubishi wire and sinker EDM, hole popper, laser and waterjet technologies.

Bio: Mark Bringle has been with Joe Gibbs Racing for 14 years. He was the first Manufacturing Engineer hired for the newly formed NASCAR team in the early 1990’s which is owned and operated by Former Head Coach of the Washington Redskins Joe Gibbs. Over the years, he has served in many different roles at Joe Gibbs Racing ranging from R&D in the Engine department, Designer/ Programmer and Manufacturing/Quality Control Department Manager, where he supervised the manufacturing and quality of some 900 different components for the motors and race cars.

Today, Mark resides in the executive suite of JGR where he serves as the Technical Sponsorship and Marketing Director for JGR’s NASCAR Cup, Nationwide, Motorcross and Supercross Teams. Mark also serves as a member of North Carolinas Industry Advisory Board which works with all 67 community colleges in the state of North Carolina.  Mark resides in Landis, NC with his wife Lori and his 3 children Meagan, Jonathan and Ryan.

Richard Gresens, Principal Designer

Whirlpool Corporation

Richard Gresens’ diverse design career has spanned over twenty years in the transportation, product and exhibit design disciplines. Gresens joined the Whirlpool Corporation, in 2008, as Principal Designer in their Global Consumer Design group and is responsible for design and program strategy for the North American laundry category.

Prior to Whirlpool, Gresens was Chief Designer for the Ford Flex, leading the design effort from concept to production. At the Ford Motor Company, he was also instrumental in the development of several concepts and production vehicles, including the Ford Explorer, Mercury Mariner and Lincoln MKT. Gresens has also held positions with Volkswagen AG, the George P. Johnson Company, and William M. Schmidt Associates. His designs include the VW Sharan MPV, VW Futura concept, Rinspeed X-Dream and various farm vehicles for the AGCO Corporation. He also spent time as a free-lance designer developing electric automobiles for Horlacher AG and Esoro AG of Switzerland and the Solectria Corporation in Boston. Born in 1963 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Gresens graduated from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit with a BFA in Industrial Design.
